Unfortunately, I woke up with my furnace not working. After calling around to multiple HVAC companies, I was left in the dark waiting for call backs. When I called Den-Son, they immediately gave me an estimated time to expect their arrival and gave me the price to expect upfront. Nate arrived even earlier than expected and he was great to work with. Explained everything very well, was thorough with his inspection and gave his recommendation on what to replace soon. And best of all, got my heat working again so my house wasn’t freezing! Highly recommend giving them a call if you ever have any HVAC issues! Read Less

These guys are awesome! They got our old boiler-style heating system updated and working, and also installed a new central air conditioning system. The guys were very polite, cleaned up, and did a great job. When we noticed an issue with our hot water, Nate came back out to check everything. He found and FIXED the issue, even though it turned out to be a valve left open by a plumber, who was also doing work for us on one of the days that Denson's were here. NO CHARGE to fix it - even though it wasn't even his mistake. We highly recommend them! Read Less

In March of 2025 We pre-paid Den-son for a yearly service (as we have previously done) but this year we DID NOT RECEIVE our prepaid service. We had to call another HVAC company to take care of our service needs. This was our Den-son experience: Their Receptionist called and scheduled the annual hvac service with us. On that date we were home waiting for tech but he never showed up. Called Den- son and the receptionist said the tech said we were not home. I assured her that we were home and waiting and we have ring camera footage for proof that the tech did not show up at our house. She said “oh, I guess he went to the wrong address”. The down low : the company employee lied to us , their tech lied to them and we paid for a service that the company was unable /unwilling to provide to us. Our trust in Den-son was broken at that point. We have called Den-son several times to resolve this issue through them refunding our prepaid fee to which the owner finally said okay / yes , I will send you a check but to date (6 months) , We have not received a refund from Den-son . We have continued to follow up and give Den -son the opportunity to make things right, and our last phone call ended with the owner being verbally abusive to us. Our advice “ Use a different Company.” Per advice : We will be reaching out to these regulatory bodies to report their suspect/ fraudulent actions to IDPR Illinois licensing body : IDOA( fraud against senior citizens) and. Update: It's been about 10 months with our new unit and we've just gone through the first winter and summer. A couple of thoughts on my particular set up. First, I probably could have gone with the AC and Furnace instead of the Heat Pump and Furnace. I found the HP was costing more and didn't keep the house "warm" enough. No big deal, we just opted to use the furnace for heat. This summer was a different story. That Trane was great at keeping the house comfortable. It was hotter than last year per my Ameren bill, but we used less electricity. Our electric bill was nearly identical to last year despite a huge jump in electric price increases. Most of our friends were complaining about their bills doubling and ours barely moved. We used to keep the house at 72 to stay comfortable. It was crazy to settle on 79. We couldn't fathom it. But the HP, with its constant low running, did an amazing job of keeping us comfortable. And, you can't even tell it's running. You can be right next to it outside and you won't be able to hear it. Very glad we purchased it. After 20 years of hard work, our old HVAC had finally given up. Cracked heat exchange. We had problems with the AC for the last couple of summers, too. So I called three different places. All three were reputable, and all offered some comparable bids. We went with Rick at Den-Son because his team has been servicing the equipment for years, and because the research I did on what he proposed was, IMO, some of the best on the market. I have a close friend who does HVAC in Chicago. I asked his preference on manufacturer. He straight up said go with Trane. My extensive research mirrored his opinion. I bought the whole package. Had it for five days now and it is SO much better than what we used to have. Extremely quiet. Very efficient from what I can tell And the Den-Son installers really did a nice job of fixing up some ducting problems. They adjusted the intake, some venting issues, etc. Now when the fan (did I mention how quiet it is) is running, I can literally feel a slight breeze, even in the middle of the room away from the vents. So do your research, and make sure to put Rick and the Den-Son crew a chance on your bid. Read Less

I had several meetings with Rick to discuss my HVAC project. Rick presented multiple options. We came to an agreement of the best Trane equipment for my budget. Rick arranged for free financing for the new equipment. Everything that Rick promised during our meetings was completed. Nate and the members of the installation crew are awesome. They really knew how to complete the project start to finish. I would totally recommend and work with Den-Son again on a future project. Read Less
